September 4, 2009 - Go Team!

Today, I had off from school. Its the first official day of my four day weekend. I spent the majority of the day doing chores and stuff for my mom. Annoying, but I still do it.

But moving to the interesting parts of my day. I went to our first football game. We won 21-14. We scored our last touchdown in the last 4 seconds of the game. Exciting. But I spent most of the evening socializing and criticizing the cheerleaders. They aren't very good.

After the game, a bunch of us crazy kids went to our local diner which is where the cool kids hang out. It was a lot of fun. The whole day was really chill and relaxing. Definitely what I needed after going back to school. I should be doing some homework right now, but it's late and I really want to watch YouTube videos and go to bed. I think I'll do that.

Good night! See you tomorrow,

P.S. Today's color is goldenrod. A good one in my opinion. Go Team!

September 3, 2009 - In the Library of course!

Good evening, friends! Today was my second day of school. And now I have a four day weekend, which is absolutely amazing! I'm very excited about this four day weekend. I know that it will be a really great weekend. More about that when it happens I guess.

It really started dawning on me today that like this is my last year in high school. I have 178 days left to enjoy being a kid still before I legitimately have to grow up and be responsible (or not be responsible... same difference).

The best thing happened today! I got my tenth period study hall replaced with me being a Library aide. It doesn't count as a credit, but I can put it on my college applications! But most importantly, I just really love the library. I got to spend 45 minutes shelving fiction books and reorganizing them so the books had more room. Our library has too many books! I KNOW! Not possible. It really isn't. You can never have too many books.

A couple minutes ago, I discovered my footage from when I saw John Green speak and he signed my copy of An Abundance of Katherines. That was a great day. Anyway. My goal is to get that on the Tube soon. We'll see.

Back to crayons! Today's color is metallic green! It sparkles! The picture I drew is one wall of our library jam packed with lots of books. Just how I like it!

See you tomorrow!

September 2, 2009 - The Journey Begins

No. I'm not talking about my journey on the Crayola Express. I'm talking about my journey through my senior year of high school. Today was the first day of school. My first last day of high school. It pretty surreal.

First period was filled with glorious study hall where I head the "spiel" from our high schools least favorite study hall... lady... person. I actually don't mind her because I sell pretzels every Wednesday, and she loves me. But it doesn't mean that she's not terrifying.

Second period I had AP Stat... which was fairly interesting, but my teacher talks way to fast. Third period I had English. I pretty much dislike my English teacher as much as Harry dislikes Snape. She's fairly annoying in general and she has the most irritating voice EVER.

4/5 I had Newspaper which is probably going to be my favorite class this year. Then it was lunch time. I was very much looking forward to that. I have a lot of friends in my lunch.

7/8 I had Digital Photography which I think it's going to be my second favorite class! Ninth period was filled with AP US History. I had a quiz. Which I tanked. Oh well. I'll get over it. And finally my day ended with another study hall. I should have realized when I decided to have study hall... that I'm too hyper to just sit and do that. So I've already be HAND-SELECTED by our librarian to be a library aide last period. OWNED.

Anyway. Back to the crayons. Today's color is scarlet so I drew a scarlet school house with a person on the swings!

Unfortunately, I must go do homework now. See you tomorrow!

September 1, 2009 - The Departure of the Crayola Express

If you have ever read Harry Potter, best thing since sliced bread - side note, sliced bread was once banned from the United States because the government believed that making weapons was more important... but the entire country complained and the ban was lifted in 3 days - anyway... Harry Potter is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

On September 1st every year, the Hogwarts Express departs from Platform 9 and 3/4 and makes its way to Hogwarts. Well... after discovering that I have exactly 365 crayons in my possession a few days ago... I decided to start this blog. A blog about crayons... and my life I guess.

Everyday will reveal a different crayon (though not always a different color, but a very individual crayon), a different picture, and perhaps a different story.

So today, the Crayola Express departs from Platform... 365? And the color of the day is blue-green. Quite beautiful in my opinion. Today is also my last official day of summer as my first day of my senior year in high school is tomorrow. I'm old. So my crayons and I are on a journey together now. So in the wake of my last day of summer... I drew a blue-green picture.
